Among the peaceful activities that are designed to lower angry feelings at home, the office or even at school, you can find two that will only require the willpower to lower your anger (as opposed to money and other input):
Meditation. Through the practice of meditation, such as yoga, tai-chi-chuan and other oriental meditative techniques, the individual can learn how to quickly stop angry feelings and episodes before they escalate and cause additional troubles with the people in their life.
Meditation might require the individual attend a specialised facility, at least in the beginning, and as they progress using these forms of anger management techniques it will be less necessary to attend, and it can be developed at the same site where the problem is emerging (for example, once you are comfortable with using meditation at a facility you can then practice it at work, where you might be experiencing the most amount of stress).
Prayer. Almost every single religion places a strong emphasis on the power of forgiveness and the importance of avoiding angry feelings, as well as the positive effect that praying has in the lives of the faithful believers. As a result, turning to prayer as a form of forgiveness and of lowering angry feelings and conflicts might be the answer for many, especially those young people who are still in those stages where their personalities are still forming.
